Record 24-game scoring run

Adriano’s goal at El Molinón meant that Guardiola’s team set another Spanish League record, chalking up the 24th away game on the run in which they have scored.
Record 24-game scoring run
Barça equalled the league record at Mestalla, which was previously held by Real Madrid since 1953, when they scored in every away game from week 27 in the 1950/51 season until week 12 in the 1952/53 campaign, recording 6 wins, 7 draws and 10 defeats. Now, in Gijon, Barça have beaten that record.

April 2010

The last time that Barça failed to score on the road was in week 33 of the 2009/10 season, on April 17th 2010 at Espanyol’s Cornellà-El Prat stadium, when the game ended goalless.

Record numbers

Since that derby game, Guardiola’s team have scored in every away game they have played, scoring 58 goals and conceding just 18, with 17 wins, 6 draws and just a single defeat – which happened when the title had already been won last season at Anoeta. That new record could, of course, be stretched when the team play their next away game –at the Los Cármenes Stadium in Granada.
